New Visitor's Policy

After Hours Visitor Badges

The Bellevue Hospital requires photo identification of any guest or visitor in the hospital during designated quiet hours. Quiet hours are between 8:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.

Guests and visitors arriving after 8:00 p.m. must enter the hospital through the Emergency Department (ED) Patient Entrance.

Emergency Department Registration will request that guests and visitors wait in the ED lobby until Security is notified and contact is made with the appropriate department to obtain permission for the visit. Once permission is granted, a badge will then be issued to guests by TBH Security at the Emergency Department Registration Desk. These badges will void after eight hours.

Beginning at 8:00 p.m. Security will also make rounds on the nursing units and will stop at the nurses’ stations and inquire if there are visitors present in the unit. If permission is granted for the guests to remain in the building, Security will go to the room and issue a badge.

This process will allow TBH to quickly identify visitors, and help the hospital maintain a safe and calm environment for high-quality care.
