The Bellevue Hospital is happy to take part in the American Heart Association's Little Hats, Big Hearts campaign.
Little Hats, Big Hearts is raising awareness about heart disease, the number 1 killer of Americans, and congenital heart disease, the most common type of birth defect in the world.
Volunteers from around the country joined the American Heart Association, in connection with The Children's Heart Foundation, to celebrate American Heart Month by knitting and crocheting red hats for babies born in February at participating hospitals.
According to the American Heart Association, over 213,000 hats have been knitted and donated to over 850 hospitals nationwide. Together, we can raise awareness, provide resources and inspire individuals to take their family's heart health to heart.
