TBH Increases Visitor Restrictions Effective Immediately

Effective, Monday, March 16, The Bellevue Hospital (TBH) has updated their visitor restrictions. 

 

Visitor restrictions:

  • No visitors permitted in the inpatient areas. Visitor exceptions will be considered based on end-of-life situations. 
  • Patients in Family Birthing Center are permitted two designated visitors for the birth of a child.
  • Pediatric patients under the age of 18 are allowed only two designated visitors. They should be the same two visitors for the duration of hospital stay. 
  • Surgery patients will be allowed one visitor to accompany them. 
  • Outpatients should not bring any visitors with them. Exceptions would be made for those who are disabled and need assistance. 
  • No one who is sick with flu-like illness or has someone in immediate family with illness should visit the hospital. 
  • Children under the age of 18 should not visit any areas of the hospital.

Please note: Outpatients and visitorswill be screened at the Main Patient Entrance (Entrance A) if visiting before 6 p.m. and the Emergency Department Entrance (Entrance B) after 6 p.m. and on weekends. 

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you or your family,” said Sara Brokaw, vice president of Patient Care Services.  “The health of you and our patients is our top priority.“

All Patients and Visitors will need to check in and be screened for flu-like symptoms as they enter the building. 

 

Designated Entrances

TBH will only have two entrances accessible-- the main Patient Entrance and the Emergency Department Entrance. 

The Main Patient Entrance will be labeled Entrance A and will be open Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Visitors and patients utilizing any of TBH’s Outpatient Services, Laboratory, Diagnostic Surgery and Family Birthing Center may check in at Entrance A during these hours. 

The Emergency Department entrance will be Entrance B, and will always be open. Anyone with a medical emergency may use Entrance B. In addition, it will be available after hours and during the weekends for all other patients and visitors.
