TBH Announces Winners in Coloring and Essay Contests

Members of The Bellevue Hospital (TBH) recently visited Bellevue Elementary School, Clyde Elementary School and Green Springs Elementary School to announce winners of the hospital's Centennial Coloring Contest and Essay Contest.

In January, participating students in kindergarten and first grade classes of the three elementary schools were asked to color and submit healthy living themed coloring pages to help the hospital celebrate its 100th Anniversary. The coloring pages were then judged by a committee of judges that included TBH employees.

Students in second through fifth grade were asked to submit essays on a variety of topics including:

  • What does a day in the life of a doctor or nurse look like?
  • What were hospital’s like 100 years ago?
  • Why is it important to have a community hospital?

The essay participants were also judged by a committee of TBH employees.

Top winners from each class, grades kindergarten through fifth, were selected and presented with certificates of participation, and gift certificates for East of Chicago Pizza.

Overall winners out of kindergarten and first grade; second and third grade; and fourth and fifth grade were awarded an overnight stay for four at Kalahari Resort & Waterpark in Sandusky.
