Community CPR / First Aid

CPR and first aid courses are offered as a class at The Bellevue Hospital or your facility.  Classes may be scheduled at your request. *Minimum 5 per class.

 

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED     $95.00 (per person)

The American Heart Association's Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Course is a classroom, instructor-led course designed to prepare students to provide first aid CPR, and use an automated defibrillator (AED) used in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Upon successful completion of the course, including a first aid skills demonstration and a CPR and AED skills test, students receive a Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.

Great course for daycare workers, coaches, factory workers, non-clinical staff members and anyone needing certification.

Family & Friends CPR     FREE 

The American Heart Association's Family & Friends CPR Course is a video-based, classroom course intended for anyone who wants to learn CPR and prefers to learn in an instructor-led or facilitated group environment.  This course is for people who do not need a course completion card for a job or other requirements.  

Family & Friends CPR is ideal for community groups, parents, grandparents, caregivers, schools and students, and others interested in how to save a life.

 

Healthcare Provider Course (BLS)     $50.00 (per person)

The Basic Life Support (BLS) Course is to train participants to save lives of victims in cardiac arrest through high quality cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).  The American Heart Association designed the BLS course to teach healthcare professionals how to perform high-quality CPR individually or as a part of a team.  

BLS skills are applicable to any healthcare setting.  BLS students will learn rescue techniques for adults, children and infants (BLS instructor Manual, 2016).
