Yoga Classes

Exercise classes focusing on various levels of emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental healing, are being offered at The Bellevue Hospital.

Yoga classes focus on the chi energy, which is the ‘center’ of a person's energy level. This ‘chi’ energy then affects the spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental levels promoting relaxation while reducing stress and tension. This in turn helps to promote healing and physical fitness.

	Yoga is stretching and breathing exercises. Anyone of any age can perform yoga exercises. Yoga emphasizes a quiet, relaxing environment, with low lighting and soft music. The stretching and breathing exercises are performed both on a mat or blanket, or standing up. Participants simply go at their own pace.
	The Yoga Fitness Classes are at The Bellevue Hospital every Wednesday (except holidays) from 6-7 p.m
	The classes are taught by Certified Yoga Teacher Karen Branco, an employee of The Bellevue Hospital.
	Class fee is $5 per person, per session.

	All yoga classes are open to the public
