Even though the majority of women do not physically carry one with them each day, “we all carry around an ‘internal’ lunchox where many things are stored.”
So notes Bellevue native Peggy (Solander) Marshall, who will be one of three speakers at the upcoming Women’s Health Fair, to be held on Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 6-9 p.m. at the Bellevue Society for the Arts complex, 205 Maple Street. The event is sponsored by The Bellevue Hospital (TBH).

Included in the $15 fee (payable at the door) will be the program, a vendor fair, a light dinner, door prizes, and giveaway items for each participant.

“Lots of time, women are the last to nurture themselves,” continued Marshall, a life coach who works with many corporations throughout the country. “We will be using the metaphor of the lunchbox as our theme throughout the evening because we carry around things with us every day – things that can nurture us or get in our way.

Throughout the evening, we will be looking at physical, emotional, mental and spiritual experiences in our lives – putting those ‘good things’ in our lunchboxes.”
TBH employees Gretchen Franklin (Social Services) and Becky Rohrbach (Certified Nurse Practitioner) will also sharing the speaking duties.

Vendors are set to include TBH Pharmacy Department, Elaine Brock and Roseanne Alexander; herb display by Wilma Yingling; Bellevue Public Library, Molly Carver; Carol Blackford, Mary Kay Cosmetics; TBH Sleep Lab, Margaret Schaffter; OSU Extension of Sandusky County, Sharon Maeder; Bellevue Community Center, Marc Weisenberger; Joan Knight, Bellevue Society for the Arts; Melissa Warner and Joyce Fields, mini massages; Sue Schmidt, Red Hat Ladies; Dawn Bova, aerobics and exercise; Angela Bliss, Pampered Chef; TBH Cardiac Rehab, Eileen Hay; TBH Dietary Department, Patti Clark; TBH Family Birthing Center, Connie Powell and Jami Hill; and TBH Education & Health Screenings, Jackie Shelley, Bev Wright, Marge Solander, and Ruth Benfer.

In addition, each participant will receive a collapsible lunch box filled with goodies, including an inspirational bookmark, stress ball, bath salts, HealthTracker, and first aid kit.

The event is sponsored by The Bellevue Hospital, and seating is limited. Fee will be $15 per person at the door, and reservations will be on a first come, first served basis by phoning The Bellevue Hospital’s Centralized Scheduling Department at 419.483.4040, Ext. 3067.

The first 100 registrants will receive a complimentary gift.

The Women’s Health Fair will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 14. Topic for the event is “What’s In Your Lunchbox?” Featured speakers will be Becky Rohrbach, Gretchen Franklin, and Peggy Marshall, all with The Bellevue Hospital.

In addition, there will be food, displays, health information and health screenings, door prizes, and fun throughout the evening.

To register or for additional information, please contact the Centralized Scheduling Department at 419.483.4040, Ext. 3067.
