Wish List Catalog Now Available'Tis the Season to be GivingDecember 10, 2003 --
To View a PDF file of the 2003 TBH Wish List Catalog - Click Here The generosity of local and area residents’ donations to The Bellevue Hospital Foundation’s Christmas “Wish List” over the past three years has allowed the Foundation to purchase equipment and supplies benefiting the hospital and the patients we serve. Foundation Director Marvin Rettig, vice president for development, is hoping for continued success with the launch of the fourth catalog. “This is our fourth year for the Wish List. Over $118,000 has generously been donated during that time, allowing us to purchase equipment and supplies to make our hospital a better place for patient care,” said Rettig. The Wish List allows contributors to give a tax-deductible donation to the hospital, while the items purchased will benefit hospital patients. Contributors then receive acknowledgement in the hospital’s annual report and receive credit toward a plaque on the Foundation’s Recognition Tree. Catalogs were mailed to over 750 homes this past week. Items in the 2003 Wish List Catalog include a stress test bed, newborn resuscitation device, wheelchairs, a refrigerator to chill Jello and juices for ill children, learning toys for waiting areas, reading lamps, pulse oxygen meter, recliner chair for waiting area, lab cart, televisions and VCR’s for patient education, mobile radios, and exercise foam rollers, among other items. A few items purchased last year are highlighted by pictures in the catalog, including a hearing and screening machine for newborns, a mini-refrigerator for the radiology department, a urodynamic machine used to measure bladder capacity and functuality, lamps, chairs, and paintings for waiting areas, and new tableware for patient meals and special functions. All donations to the Wish List project are tax-deductible.
