Annual Recognition Dinner

June 2, 2004 --

The Bellevue Hospital (TBH) and Hospital Auxiliary paid tribute to the many volunteers and Volun-Teens who have donated countless hours at the local facility with a Recognition Banquet held at Bellevue Club Amer-Ital on Wednesday, May 12.

Pictured from left to right are TBH volunteers Bill Fontana and Mary Jo Wilken, TBH Auxiliary member Sheila McFarland, volunteer Betty Emery, guest speaker Judy White, TBH volunteer coordinator Karen Gehring, and TBH Auxiliary President Ginger Gerhardstein.

Ginger Gerhardstein, president of the Auxiliary; Karen Gehring, TBH Volunteers Coordinator; and Betty Emery, TBH Director of Volunteers, welcomed and thanked the group for the many hours of dedicated service. A prayer of dedication to the volunteers was offered prior to the meal, by TBH Vice President for Development, Marvin Rettig.

The guests entered the hall under a festive arch of red, white and blue balloons and received a corsage and gift. An interesting and informative program was presented after dinner by Judy White, a former children’s librarian at The Bellevue Public Library. Her program was about The Buckeye State of Ohio.

Special guest for the evening was recently retired volunteer, Fleet Dillon.
