The Bellevue Hospital Thanks Community

Oktoberfest A Success

November 2, 2004 --

Letter to the editor of the Bellevue Gazette:

We would like to express our gratitude to the community and local businesses for their support in The Bellevue Hospital’s recent Bellevue United Selective Fund Campaign.

Because of this support, over $22,000 was raised through employee contributions, 50/50 raffles, food sales, and our 8th Annual Oktoberfest Celebration.

We applaud the generosity of our employees in pledging $16,586 and community businesses in donating door prizes for our successful campaign.

The ongoing support of our activities contributed the following amounts to the overall total: Oktoberfest - $1,626, 50/50 raffles - $468.75, ribbon magnet sales - $707 and combined food sales - $1,923.35, including $564 in TBH’s Best Brownie sales.

 The winner of the $150 during the Community 50-50 Raffle was Bellevue’s Marc Schoen.
