Morning Health Break
The Bellevue Hospital’s monthly community service, Morning Health Break, is
held once a month in the hospital's Private Dining Room, offering free or
reduced health screenings, educational literature, light breakfast and a
registered nurse to answer questions about health.
Those who take part in the program can earn a “Morning Health Break” T-shirt
through their participation in the program.
Those who continue to bring their Morning Health Break health cards with them
each month, and who also show a steady lowering of their cholesterol by at least
10 points, will qualify for the free T-shirt. Additional details are available
during the Morning Health Breaks.
The goal of the program is to focus on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and
learning how to be healthier.
Health care professionals are available to answer questions and provide
health screenings for community members.
This program is not meant to take the place of seeing a doctor or getting a
second opinion.
Morning Health Break offers free blood pressure and blood glucose (sugar) tests,
while cholesterol tests are available for a fee of $5.
Participants are also offered a free continental-style breakfast, of coffee,
juice and rolls.
All times are
8:30-11:30 a.m.
The community outreach education program is part of The Bellevue Hospital's
effort to ensure the health and wellness of its community members.
