The Bellevue Hospital Home Health Agency is an extension of The Bellevue Hospital.  The agency is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.  This accreditation demonstrates that they have met the rigorous standards set to ensure the highest quality of care.

Highly Qualified Staff:

Our staff remains current in the latest advances in home care technology through continuing education courses.  Our experienced staff of nurses, therapists, home health aides, and medical social workers live in the communities they serve - ensuring a timely response for our patients.

A registered nurse is available at all times, 24 hours a day -- 7 days a week, to meet our patient's needs.

Home Health Admission Criteria

Patients are admitted when the patient's medical, nursing, and psychological needs can be adequately met at home.

Medicare criteria for home health services include that the patient must have a skilled nursing or therapy need, be homebound, and care requirements must be intermittent.

Patients who live in The Bellevue Hospital service area, are accepted for home care regardless of age, race, religious or cultural beliefs, sexual preference, or disease process.
