Collect Supplies for Troops

May 9, 2003 --

The Bellevue Hospital’s

Pam Franks, MA/CPT,

loads some of the supplies

collected for the coalition forces

fighting for freedom in Iraq.

The supplies were collected during one week in April as a project co-sponsored with the hospital’s school/business partner, Ridge Elementary School.

The supplies were collected and taken to the American Red Cross in Fremont by Ridge Principal Laurie Hunker.

The Red Cross then shipped the 10 boxes of supplies and the $74 collected to the coalition forces.

 Donated supplies included magazines, food, soaps, books, stamps, and stationery. In addition to helping to donate supplies. 

Ridge School students also wrote letters to the troops and included the letters in the supply containers.
