THE BELLEVUE HOSPITAL ANNOUNCES $250,000 GIFT

TO CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PROJECT

February 21, 2004  --

The Bellevue Hospital today announced that First National Bank has committed $250,000 toward the “Keeping Quality Care, Close to Home” capital campaign.

Funds raised in the campaign will help pay for the construction of a new hospital for the Bellevue-Clyde community.

Daniel Zwayer, President and CEO of First National Bank said, “The Bellevue community is extremely fortunate to have a state-of-the-art, primary care facility such as The Bellevue Hospital. The vision and foresight of the Hospital’s leaders has served the local community well since 1914. Their dedication to quality, local care and the commitment to move forward to continue to meet the ever-challenging needs of the medical industry are commendable. First National Bank is honored to have the opportunity to accept a roll in partnering with the Hospital in its vision to perpetuate quality care for area families for many generations to come.”

The “Keeping Quality Care, Close to Home” capital campaign has now raised over $1,600,000 of its $2,000,000 goal. The funds will be used to offset some of the cost of the $36 million new hospital currently under construction.

“We’re thrilled beyond belief to have the support of First National Bank. This is a tremendous gift to the hospital and shows the confidence that a leading business in our community has in the future of community based health care,” said Marvin Rettig, Bellevue Hospital Foundation Director.

Rettig added that he hopes to conclude this current capital campaign project in June, 2004. “We are in the process of contacting businesses, foundations, and individuals in hopes that many will consider a donation,” added Rettig.

The Foundation also has a video concerning the capital campaign project and Rettig noted that groups or organizations interested can sign up for a free presentation from Foundation members.
Anyone interested in receiving additional information on the capital campaign can contact Marvin Rettig at (419) 483-4040, Ext. 4319.
