Last Northwest Street "Special Delivery "

at The Bellevue Hospital

March 12, 2005  --

The Bellevue Hospital celebrated its final "Special Delivery" at the original 811 Northwest Street facility on March 12, 2005, with the birth of Sophia Lee Treece.

As the last baby born in the original 88-year-old facility, Sophia was feted with many gifts from the hospital family and local and area businesses, including a $1,000 U.S. Savings Bond from The Bellevue Hospital.

Sophia is shown with her parents, Brandon Treece and Jessica Kieffer. They reside in Huron.

Sophia was 7 pounds and 20-inches in length and was delivered by Gregory Karasik M.D. at 5:02 a.m. on March 12.
