The Education Department is
dedicated to providing ongoing education and development
to promote staff competency which encompasses technical
proficiency, knowledge, interpersonal and professional
skills throughout the organization at all staff levels.
This is accomplished through:
• Orientation for employees, students, contract staff,
Allied Health Professionals Class III and agency staff
• Inservice Education in a variety of formats-live
presentations, videos, computer self studies, and
newsletters
• Core Competencies
• Preceptor Program
• Learning Needs Assessment and education planned to
address these needs
• Literature Searches
• Regulatory compliance education
• Resource for Administration and Directors for
educational needs/competencies
• Clinical Information Systems
The Education Department Director is responsible for the
direct provision, development, and coordination of the
above activities
The Education Department’s hours are 0730-1600 Monday
through Friday with variations to accommodate various
educational activities. Services are offered 24/7 though
the use of differing formats of education and
collaboration with various
Supervisors/Directors/Leaders.
