New Instructor

to Lead TBH Aerobic Classes

Feb. 22, 2006

The Bellevue Hospital has welcomed a new instructor to lead its “Friends for Fitness” and “Senior Friends for Fitness” aerobic classes.

Bellevue native Mandi (Meacham) King, 29, has taken over leadership of the aerobic classes. King is both a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT).

“I am very excited to be taking over these classes,” said King. “It will be fun to get back into teaching and I am also excited to be adding a new 6 p.m. aerobics class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, one that I hope will cater to the after-work population.”

King resides in Bellevue with her husband, Jeremy, and son Evan, 3. The couple is expecting their second child in July.

All of the classes are open to the public and all classes are $3 per session or $5 per week. Classes are conducted in the Community Room at the Bellevue Community Center, 800 Monroe Street.

Regular aerobic classes are held Mondays-Wednesdays-Saturdays from 8:15-9:15 a.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Beginning March 7, the new 6-7 p.m. class will be added to the lineup every Tuesday and Thursday.

Senior Friends for Fitness Classes, suited for those ages 55 and older, are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30-10:15 a.m. These classes feature a warm-up period, low impact aerobics, stretching, and a cool-down period.

Participants are encouraged to consult their family physician before joining any exercise program.

Aerobic exercise provides a safe, effective method to improve & maintain cardiovascular efficiency and endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and optimal body composition.

For additional information, contact Mandi King at 419-484-1072.
